Gems Academy Alexandria launched the American Department last year. The high school American
Department had two classes grade 9 and 10 of 28 students in both grades.

This year, an expansion Occurred as the department now is comprised of grade 9 ,10 and 11 of a total
number of 75 students.: two classes grade 9, two classes grade 10 and one class grade 11.
In the American system, we strive to prepare all students to become lifelong learners ready to meet the
challenges of the future. We have a student-centered learning classrooms, which motivate our learners
to be productive global citizens ready to meet all future challenges.

We are following the Common Core standards in English and Math as well as Next Generation Standards
in Science. We are now candidates in Cognia Organization, which grants the most efficient credible
accreditation license as our school is in the process to be accredited by the end of this academic year.
We offer classes for the preparation of the standardized test ACT and paper writing tasks, which allow students to join
universities in Egypt and abroad.
